2002 - 2005
Strategic Planning
In April 2002, a strategic planning committee appointed by Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Paula Short, began work developing a three-year Strategic Plan for the Regents Online Degree Programs (RODP). The intent of the Strategic Plan is to identify how RODP can better meet the needs of member institutions and challenges facing the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) and its constituency.
The committee will also evaluate fundamental strategic issues facing RODP including but not limited to student enrollment growth rate, future degrees, online services, collaboration activities, program evaluation, revenue, marketing and the coordination of RODP with the local institutions.
The committee met in April and May to define TBR stakeholders and their expectations. They also discussed the internal and external environments which led to the development of their vision for online teaching and learning in general. Notes from these sessions are attached for your information.
