Valda Barksdale is the Nursing & Allied Health Specialist for the Regents Online Campus Collaborative (ROCC). She is responsible for developing, directing and maintaining ROCC Nursing and Allied Health programs, including student clinical placements, application and registration management. She manages logistics and coordination of the clinical affiliation contracts for Nursing and Allied Health students across the state. She also oversees and coordinates activities related to four standing committees: MSN RODP Executive Committee, MSN RODP Curriculum Committee, FNP Curriculum Sub Committee and the Health Information Technology Executive Committee. 

Valda has over 23 years of combined project management and development experience in nursing workforce and policy, higher education diversity affairs, human resource training and recruiting and home healthcare administration fields. She holds a B.S. in Business Management from Jackson State University and has extensive knowledge of nursing practice, education and policy development. 

She serves as President of JSU NAA – Nashville Chapter, Vice President of Public Relations for Parthenon Toastmasters Club and is an avid supporter and volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
