
Dr. Raylean Henry is the Director of the Regents Online Continuing Education program (ROCE). ROCE coordinates non-credit and certification programs offered by the technology centers, colleges, and universities of the Tennessee Board of Regents. Her primary responsibilities include working with the ROCE/CEED committee to deliver these online courses to meet state-wide needs for Tennessee's workforce.
Before coming to the Regents Online Degree Program, Dr. Henry was the Director of Continuing Education at Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. She was responsible for directing a program that offered non-credit courses to the Nashville community both on-campus and on-site at local business and industry.
Dr. Henry's previous experiences include numerous positions as training director in various companies in the Nashville area for over fifteen years.
Dr. Henry received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Palm Beach Atlantic College in West Palm Beach, Florida. She completed a Masters in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a concentration in Adult Education. Dr. Henry received her Doctorate of Education from Tennessee State University with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction.
Dr. Henry's primary responsibilities include:
- Coordination of ROCE faculty teaching assignments with campuses
- Coordination of ROCE student-faculty complaints with campuses
- Coordination of ROCE central registration information center (opening & closing of classes,
monitoring class size limits)
- Assisting with ROCE Program Evaluations and monitoring of ROCE classes
- Coordination of the flow of information to the ROCE Campus Contacts
- Coordination of the Continuing Education and Economic Developing Standing TBR
Committee initiatives
- Coordination of ROCE initiatives
- Serving as ex-official member of the following committees:
ROCE TTC Curriculum Committee, Continuing Education & Economic
Development (CEED) Standing Committee.
- Administration of the Tennessee Career Information
Delivery (TCIDS) website.
- Administration of the Pathways website.
- Assisting with the marketing strategies for all ROCC
programs.
