Public Service Courses

Through the Regents Online Continuing Education program, public service, non-credit instructional courses are available to inform, educate and increase awareness of issues that affect the state of Tennessee and its citizens.

These on-demand courses are offered free of charge to Tennesseans and can be accessed immediately.

Current offerings include:

ollie-otterOllie Otter Seatbelt Training

A statewide education campaign developed to increase awareness for booster seat, seatbelt and roadway safety among Tennessee’s children. It features the lovable and energetic safety mascot, Ollie Otter. His message to children is "Under 4'9"- Booster Time!"  Visit http://seatbeltvolunteer.org for additional information.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

This course introduces healthcare practitioners to the implications associated with the diagnosis of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. The history and epidemiology of the disorder is discussed. Making a diagnosis, initiating the appropriate intervention and initiating preventive programs are also presented.
