Dr. Pamela G. Holder is the Director of Nursing and Allied Health for the Regents Online Degree Program. Dr. Holder joined MTSU on July 1, 1999 as Professor and Director of the School of Nursing. On July 1, 2003, she was appointed Interim Associate Dean of Research and Development for the College of Basic and Applied Sciences, and through a dual services agreement with the Tennessee Board of Regents she serves as Director of Nursing & Allied Health
As Director of Nursing & Allied, she is responsible for the Masters of Science in Nursing program which is offered through the Regents Online Degree Program, and is currently providing leadership in the development of the Associate of Science in Nursing and Health Information Technology programs.
Dr. Holder completed her Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees at The University of Alabama in Birmingham. Her experience includes faculty positions at The University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing, The University of Alabama in Huntsville, and The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). She has also held clinical staff positions in cardiovascular and oncology nursing. She is a member of a variety of professional organizations which include: The American Association of Colleges of Nursing, The American Nurses Association, The National League for Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, and the Oncology Nursing Society.
Dr. Holder serves as a Distinguished Lecturer for Sigma Theta Tau International's Distinguished Lecturer Program, and is an Accreditation Review site visitor for the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. She has developed and taught both web-based and web-enhanced courses and her current research focuses on pedagogy of online instruction.
