Online learning requires certain skills, behavior, study habits, computer equipment, and discipline in order to be successful. Therefore, students enrolled in online courses through RODP/ROCE are encouraged to complete an Online Mastery Test each semester and e-mail the Proof of Completion to all their online instructors using the WebCT e-mail attachment in each class.

Proctored Tests

Most of your assessments (quizzes, exams, tests, etc.) will be online through WebCT. Some RODP online instructors, however, require that their students take major tests under supervised circumstances commonly referred to as a "proctored" exam.

Instructors will mention in their syllabus or post an announcement if you are required to take a proctored exam. If your instructor requires a proctored examination, you are required to follow the directions for making arrangements for the exam.

Note: Students are responsible for making arrangements to secure a proctor (an *approved individual who agrees to administer tests in a suitable environment and return them to the instructor) including any costs for fax, U.S. mail, or UPS. If you are unable to find a suitable proctor, please contact the RODP Helpdesk for assistance immediately. Proctor arrangements must be completed as soon as possible to ensure timely delivery of your tests.
