Online learning requires certain skills, behavior, study habits, computer equipment, and discipline in order to be successful. Therefore, students enrolled in online courses through RODP/ROCE are encouraged to complete an Online Mastery Test each semester and send the Certificate of Completion to all of their online instructors via e-mail attachment in each class.

Note: Students will be able to log in to eLearn the EVENING of Monday, January 14th , for college and university students or the evening of Monday, January 7th for Technology Center students.

Getting Started Online: So Where Do I Begin?

1. Read and complete all of the Tabs of this Orientation.
(It will provide you with the knowledge and skills to learn and to be successful online!)

2. Make sure that you have the required Computer with Internet Connection.

3. Make sure you review the Desire2Learn Tutorials.

4. Complete the Online Mastery Test and send it to all your instructors via your eLearn Account.

5. Verify that all your classes have been listed in eLearn. (Contact the Admissions & Records office of your home institution)

6. Make sure you know the Technical Help Desk number: 1-866-550-7637

7. Make sure you know your Campus Contact's e-mail address.

8. Contact the Disabled Student Services Office of your home institution if you have a disability.
