Admission requirements for MSN-RODP.
Important information for applicants residing in the Middle Tennessee area.
MSN-RODP applications will be reviewed by the MSN-RODP Executive Committee for admission recommendation and home campus assignment. Once assigned to a home campus by the MSN-RODP Executive Committee, the student must then meet the regular graduate admissions requirements of the designated home campus.
| Step 2. Apply for admission to the graduate division of the assigned home university offering the desired MSN concentration. You must complete the admission process at that particular school in order to finalize your application for the MSN-RODP. |
Students are encouraged to await notification of home campus assignment before applying to the Graduate Division of a participating University. Some concentrations are only available at certain universities*.
Final admission to the program will be based on competitive selection from the pool of eligible applicants who meet the admission requirements from the designated home campus as well as the admission standards for MSN-RODP.
Applicants will be notified of their eligibility for admission to the MSN-RODP. The home campus (Graduate Division, School of Nursing, and RODP contact) will also be notified. Official admission notification will be forwarded by the graduate division of the home campus.
Upon notification of home campus assignment students should:
a) Complete application to graduate division of home campus, if required.
b) Prepare and submit all required documents—to include, but not limited to:
- a written document that includes a resume;
- a discussion of prior professional experience and future career goals;
- and reasons for pursuing graduate study.
c) Provide letters of recommendation from at least three persons (a minimum of one academic) familiar with the applicant’s academic and professional background and experience in nursing practice, specifying in detail the applicant’s capabilities for graduate study and for future practice as an advanced practice nurse.
