Paying for Your Education

The primary purpose of financial aid is to assist students who, without such aid, would find it difficult to attend college successfully. Board of Regents colleges and universities adhere to the nationally established policy and philosophy of financial aid for education. This policy notes that students and parents have the first responsibility for financing an education.

However, when a family cannot meet the educational costs, financial assistance may be available. All students are encouraged to apply for aid if they feel they need it.  The first step in a successful financial aid package is filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.
