Computer Information Systems
The mission of the Computer Information Systems Diploma Program is to provide technical instruction and skill development for employment careers in the computer field. As businesses and industry continue to invest heavily in sophisticated hardware and software to simplify their day-to-day operations, it has created a myriad of job opportunities for formally-trained computer technicians who are familiar with a variety of operating systems. Employers are looking for new hires that are adaptable, willing to learn, and have the latest up-to-date training.
Areas of study in the Computer Information Systems Program include networking, operating systems, popular software and the Internet. Courses may be taken as part of the diploma program or as standalone training opportunities.
The Computer Information Systems Program also prepares students for IC 3 and MOS certification. Certifications available after gaining your diploma are: Adobe Photoshop, Strata, Flash, Web Developer and MCTS: .Net Framework Windows and Web Application.
