English as a Second Language (ESL) Additional Endorsement
The ESL additional endorsement is available at both the graduate and the undergraduate level in a flexible, online format. Undergraduate courses are listed as 4000-level courses; graduate courses are listed as 5000- or 6000-level courses according to university policy.
The ESL endorsement is offered at the following TBR universities:
Middle Tennessee State University (graduate only)
East Tennessee State University (both undergraduate and graduate)
Tennessee State University (both undergraduate and graduate)
Tennessee Technological University (both undergraduate and graduate)
University of Memphis (both undergraduate and graduate)

Notes
- Candidates for the ESL Additional Endorsement will enroll in the practicum/internship at the home university.
- In addition to the 18 credit hour program, candidates for the ESL Additional Endorsement must meet testing requirements in place for professional licensure as outlined by the Tennessee Department of Education which includes passing scores on the ESL Specialty Area of the PRAXIS II exam.
