Linking Assignments to Content Module
If you have created Assignments in the Dropbox Tool, you can link the assignments directly to the Content Modules. This will make your content more complete and will also provide an easy way for your students to access the individual assignments.
Method 1
- Go to Course Content
- Click on Manage Content
- Go to the Module where you would like to add the assignment and click on the Add Topic icon.
- Click on QuickLink
- Type in the title of your assignment. (ex.Assignment 1)
- Type in the short title of your assignment.
- Click on the QuickLink icon beside the URL box.
- In the dropdown menu beside Pick Category, select Dropbox
- In the dropdown menu beside Item, select the assignment that you would like to link.
- Click Insert
- Click Save
Method 2
- Go to Course Content
- Click on Manage Content
- Go to the Module where you would like to add the assignment and click on the Add Topic icon.
- Click on Create New File
- Type in all of the directions, rubrics, etc. that you want students to see regarding the assignment.
- On the html menu bar, click on the icon for Insert Quick Link and the Inset Quicklink box will appear.
- In the dropdown menu beside Pick Category, select Dropbox
- In the dropdown menu beside Item, select the assignment that you would like to link.
- In the Link Caption, type the message that you would like students to see (example: Click here to submit Assignment 2)
- Select Open in New Window
- Click Insert
- Click Save
Please note that you can use Method 2 to add Quicklinks into pages that have already been created. Just go the course module and click on the page. Click on E on the menu bar and then follow steps 6-12.
