Orientation to Online Classes (a six hour class offered at no charge through RODP). You should be familiar with basic Windows navigation and file management. You should know how to attach files and open files through your word processor, and scan files into your computer.
|
| Course Topics: |
There are working papers for EVERY exercise and problem. The papers you will use all begin with a WP. Do not do your homework on anything but your working papers. You will save time and brain cells by using formats already set for you.
You will be required to do chapters 1 through 7, and 10 through 16. Chapters 8 and 9 deal with payroll and you have an comprehensive payroll class, therefore, there is no need to repeat those lessons here.
You will want to add the student book site http://heintz.swlearning.com to your favorites list because you will need to do practice quizzes and get additional learning resources from this site. It is a good idea to add the D2L website to your favorites list too.
After you read each chapter: Go to the student website, before you take the timed test in D2L, and take the interactive quiz. Have your results sent to me at DSelby@Jackson.tec.tn.us. You will not get a grade on these quizzes, but they are mandatory. I will use these grades to determine class participation and effort.
