Tennessee Transfer Pathways

TN Transfer Pathway graphicTennessee students working toward Associate's degree completion who plan to transfer to a TBR, UT system or participating Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association (TICUA) institution for Bachelor's degree completion, should visit the Tennessee Transfer Pathway site. The site provides transfer pathways by campus and major. The information provided on this site is intended to help students and advisors work together to establish an appropriate pathway. The site does not take the place of an advisor or counselor on your campus.

How do the Pathways work?

A student who completes all the courses listed on a particular Transfer Pathway will earn an A.A. or A.S. degree at the community college. When the student transfers to a Tennessee public or private university, the transcript will certify that the pathway has been followed. The student is guaranteed that all the community college courses taken will be accepted at the university and the courses will count toward completion of the particular major.

If a community college student transfers to another Tennessee community college, all courses will transfer to the receiving institution.

Important Note: Admission to UT, Knoxville is competitive. For UTK, the Pathways do not guarantee admission.
